Biography

Zhinan Cheng is now a senior software engineer at Tencent. He received his Phd degree in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), under the supervision of Prof. Patrick P. C. Lee. He was also a member of the Applied Distributed Systems Lab (ADSLab) at CUHK. Before that, He received his M.S degree in Computer Science from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2017 where he worked with Prof. Xi Li at the Embedded System Lab (ESLab).

His current interest is to build dependable cloud native systems, including service mesh systems, FaaS systems, stroage systems and so on.
